About Us

Blackstock Skating Club (BSC) is a non profit organization approved by Skate Canada. Our club has been operating for over 25 years with a friendly small town atmosphere. Our club develops skaters of all ages and abilities, from recreational first-time skaters to competitive skaters. We have certified professional coaches and program assistants with a small skater to coach ratio. The programs offered, the skills developed, and the instruction provided to our skaters all meet a specified standard that is consistent across Canada. BSC coaches are certified by Skate Canada through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and they in turn train our volunteers to assist with on-ice instruction. We have badges and award nights along with an end of season Carnival.

It is our goal to provide programs, coaching and recreation that will encourage each skater to achieve their own personal level of highest performance in a safe and healthy environment. We are proud to offer the children of our community the opportunity to build confidence and skill through our skating programs. Our vision is to encourage a sense of cohesiveness among coaches, skaters and parents.
